MICK HOFMANN SHEARING
THE BUSINESS
I was born and raised in Iowa, the youngest of ten kids. My dad was a world-class shearer and taught me how to shear in 2007 at age 15. Since then I have traveled around America and Australia as a professional shearer.
I reside in the Phoenix area so most of my work is concentrated in Arizona. I do, however, go to San Diego county every 4-6 weeks to serve clients out there. I specialize in hobby farms, with most of the jobs having less than 10 animals, but I do some occasional commercial sheep shearing as well.

MY LIFE
In December of 2014, I had the privilege of marrying the most amazing woman. Grace and I have always loved traveling, so in 2016 when the opportunity arose to shear in Australia for five months, we jumped at the chance. This experience was the catalyst to pursuing shearing full-time.

Grace and I moved to Arizona in December of 2017 and now call it home. We have one daughter and one son who always enjoy tagging along on jobs.
When I am not shearing, I enjoy traveling, camping, running, riding bikes and playing with my kids. ​
